Yellow’s Designer: A Romance Designer Novel - handmade and Bilingual typographic
The novel tells the story of why Ping wanted to become a graphic designer and candidly describes his early struggles, her mental illness, and the support she gave him. The bookbinding concept came from being annoyed by the factory-made perfect binding methods that always looked the same on bookstore shelves, so I wanted to develop an interesting approach.

The slides explained how the bilingual architecture was implemented. English readers tend to turn the page right, but traditional Japanese and Chinese readers turn the page left (e.g., Japanese comics). So I designed the book so that users could flip it 180 degrees when reading left-handed languages to better suit their reading habits.
This double-sided poster showcases the book's production process and the challenges encountered. The biggest problem was creating appropriate margins for the gradually widening pages to ensure consistent spacing after printing (basically It’s just a math game), all of which I've summarized in this poster and call it Design Recipe (A better name might be Binding Recipe)
